A queima por um lado, pelo outro o forte calor, e por último o míldio com os seus companheiros destruíram quase por completo a uva. Além de ser diminutíssima a colheita, que deve ser certamente ainda muito inferior a um terço da colheita última, a qualidade do vinho não pode ser boa. São profecias pouco agradáveis, mas são as que supomos verdadeiras pelas observações que temos feito.
